Milestones

What most children do by this age

Choose your child's age to see the milestones most children have reached by then, and what's coming next. It's a list to notice things with, not a test.

If something worries you

If your child isn't doing one or more of these things, has lost skills they used to have, or you have any other concern, talk to your health visitor or GP. You don't need to wait for a routine check. In England, health visitors review children's development at around 1 year and again at 2 to 2½.
